Brain Waves
Brain Waves
People all ages are invited to inmerse themserlves in the mysteries and intricacies of the brain during Brain Wave RI's (BWRI) two Brain Fairs. Come learn about basic science and brain health; interact with brain science labs, familiarize yourself with community resources and experience the thrill of discovery at either Brain Fair, or both! These special events have attracted 600-800 attendees per event since 2016. Both events are free of charge and open to the public.
The Brain Fairs feature engaging, interactive brain-themed exhibits and cerebrally stimulating talks by experts who will share current brain research and treatments for disorders. There will be 50+ stations offering a chance to measure your brain waves, learn about brain-related health conditions like stroke or Alzheimer's, play games and fun activities, and touch a real human brain. Fair-goers can also learn about local colleges and programs and pick up information about community resources available to them. These are events for the whole family, so come enjoy!
