Topics will include: Medicare, Long-term care insurance (traditional and hybrid), Trouble with underwriting, Existing policies with increases coming over 1-3 years, New Hybrid policies, Annual documented reviews of policy costs and benefits for clients and their children/other trusted advisors, and more!

  • Doug Emanuel: Doug is a partner in and of Chace Ruttenberg & Freedman, LLP, with offices in Providence and Westerly. Doug is a member of the firm's Trusts, Estate Planning & Administration Group and advises the firm’s clients on estate planning needs and considerations, long-term asset protection, Medicaid planning, probate practice and procedure and trust administration. In addition, he has served as chair of the Rhode Island Bar Association's New Lawyers Committee. Back in his youth, he was recognized as a "Rising Star" in general litigation. Doug is a recognized Rhode Island Super Lawyer and is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
  • David Allen, APMA®, CRPC®, CLTC®: David has been a Financial Advisor since 1993 and moved to Providence full time last June. He has been Certified in Long Term Care since 2010 and holds the CLTC designation. David also holds the Accredited Portfolio Manager Advisor and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designations. He attended University of Vermont for a Business degree with Finance as his major. He works at Providence Financial Advisors.
